Kathy,

Thanks for visiting and sharing this blog with your church groups. Considering the number of baby boomers out there, I know there have to be a lot of family caregivers as well. We are not getting any younger and our parents are living longer and longer.

There is a "Share Your Story" tab at the top of the page or e-mail is fine for those who don't like those forms.

Thanks again.

Valerie, I see we are closer than Remarkablogees. I am also in Cobb County.

Your blog is one I will share with others in my church groups. So many of my peers are full-time care givers for members of their family. It's nice to know they have a place to share their voices here.

Hi Valerie - That looks like an awesome centre. I did placements in council run centres and they were nowhere near as nice. Hopefully they've improved now though.

It's great that you've found somewhere nice for your sister to go during the day and it will also give you a much needed break.

Right. I thought that might be the case. Still, it would have been nice to hear what some of them had to say. My MIL had mild dementia but could be very astute about her own situation.

Hattie,

This particular Senior Day Center is very much like the one my sister attends. This center, like ours, has a lot of seniors who have some form of dementia. I suspect that the residents may not have been interviewed because of that.
