She has to be a special person to adopt a child knowing that she would require extra time and effort. God bless her. @Cath - You are so right. Family caregiving is 24/7. Nurses get to go home and leave the caregiving to someone else for the next 16 hours. Family caregivers don't have that luxury. @Dana - Your friend is welcome to share her story here.
