Microsoft Internet Explorer Security Risk

Just in case you have not heard, Internet Explorer has a security problem.  I sent an email to a few friends last night and when I turned on the news at 5:30 this morning, it was on the news.  Here is a link to Kathy Hendershot Hurd’s article on the problem – Warning MSIE Security Risk Discovered.  She sites several different sources.

I switched to FireFox about six months ago.

I would suggest that you subscribe to SANS.org… They have an RSS feed and this news was out over a week ago. I am a network administrator for quite a few networks and had this flaw blocked at the firewalls way before hackers could create the code.

This is very important. This is also one of the very few times that MS would release an “early fix” to a security threat, because of all the media attention.

Thanks for the info Jim. I did check out SANS.org and it has tons of information on security issues.
