Welcome to Our World of Care Giving!

Care giving is demanding, exhausting and emotional. It requires patience, flexibility and good time management skills. It also requires a good team or support group to work together in the care giving process so one person does not bear total care giving responsibility and become exhausted.

In February 2008 my daughter Nichole and I started planning to move my sister Gladys from her home in Pennsylvania, to my home in Georgia. Nichole began taking care of Gladys after her stroke in December 2005. Initially we decided to move Gladys to Nikki’s home that was about 45 minutes from Gladys’ home in Philadelphia. At that time, we thought it would only be for a few months and Gladys would return to her own home. However, things did not
